Immediate massive action triumphs

Do you need time?

Immediate action even if imperfect triumphs over perfect but slow action or no action at all. The very thought of doing something perfect slows us down. A perfectionist mindset kills many significant ideas due to a lack of action. Immediate action regularly brings incremental improvement.

Many of our passions we could not pursue and some of our primary goals in life never kickstarted as we have procrastinated for long due to our perfectionist mindset subconsciously. Inaction breeds laziness and a vicious cycle of procrastination. A regular and fast action although imperfect used to provide growth opportunities.

Imagine a YouTuber say Ms. P, who waits for her videography to be perfect to post the first video vs. Ms. I, the one who started posting from where she is. For 30 days, Ms P may have posted none or significantly fewer videos vs. Ms I, who keeps posting her videos and getting better and better at doing so. Over 100 days total number of videos Ms P and Ms I posted varied, and so did the success and monetisation. Arguably quality of the videos that Ms. P produced could be better, but a greater number of videos with more viewership Ms I amassed has a higher probability of success.

“Do you need time?” depends on one’s grit to take action and should be substantiated with a timeline. A salesman getting a response like “I will come back to you” means that the “closer” has not happened and most probably will never happen, but asking for a timeline for action improves the chance of closer the deal.

“Do you need time?” Yes, I do. I need “me” time to introspect, to master new skills, to bring a project from “0 to 1”, albeit following the set plan I charted for myself.

Immediate and massive action is needed, with progressive improvement.
